Servered with 1st MAW 70/71, MWSG-17, H&MS-17 Danang Mar/70 pulled out to Iwakuni by ship USS DURHAM. Retured to Danang Dec/70 Servered with MAG-11, VMFA-115 through Feb/71. Pulled out again!! Island hopped back to NAS North Island with 8 f4's. All State Side service with CH-53's HMHT-301 before Nam and HMH-363 After Nam.

MAG 13 Trivia question: Who was the person, at Chu Lai in 1967 that tried to remove the igniter fuse from a lumination hand-grenade? The grenade jumped out of the person’s hand and landed in someone’s footlocker. Smoke was billowing from within the hut and luminous shadow figures were running about within the hut.
Hint: The person was a VMFA 323 Ordnance guy. It was not me.
